Lost iPhone 12

Around 21st of May I went to a store and my phone had slipped out of my pocket, I only had realised that when I got home, I tried calling it but it didn’t go through so I put the device into lost mode then remotely erased it. Find my located the phone for only 3 minutes it said it was in a town which was a few minutes away from where I lost it! I’ve been receiving emails that the iPhone activation lock is requesting the password but I keep on trying to ignore it. Right now I am using an iPhone 6 and the iPhone 12 was a refurbished phone so it wasn’t as expensive!

Do NOT respond to the emails or texts requesting information about your phone. Although they might say that they are from "Apple" or "Apple Support", they are not.

These are scam messages trying to trick you into providing your password, etc., so the bad guys / girls can get into your phone, use the data and then sell the phone to another person.

I'm sorry that you will never see the iPhone 12 again, but you can at least really frustrate the criminals who have your phone now and are trying to get into it or sell it.

Sometimes, the messages turn into threats. Just ignore and delete any messages that you receive.
