How can I select the first 30 seconds of a song in my Music Library to use as a ringtone on my iPhone Max 13

You can't. That's not a feature that Apple offers.


If it's music that you've purchased, you can make your own ringtone. Here are the directions if you have a Mac:


Create a ringtone of your Logic Pro or GarageBand for Mac song - Apple Support


Or, you can check the iTunes Store to see if there is already a ringtone made from the song you want available for purchase. To me, it's worth the less than two dollars not to have to futz with making my own.
