Okay, but, audio roles aren't really helping me make global changes to audio because there's no way to quickly select all the audio of a particular role so I can remove and then re-add an EQ setting to all of them. What complicates things is that I'm using synchronized clips and compound clips in my timeline, so, the audio is in various places.
Making things more complicated is that there are two audio tracks for synchronized clips when you double-click on them. The audio track that came with the video is tagged as Dialogue-1, but the separate audio track (the one I actually want to hear) is tagged as some weird <Blank>-2 & <Blank>-1 role. If I view them in audio lanes, I can multi-select all those Blank roles, but, there's no way to change them all to a different role. I have to instead go into each synchronized clip and change each one individually. Is there really no way to do this in bulk in FCP?

I have to do the same for compound clips, which also contain synchronized clips. So that means I have to dig 2 levels deep for the over 100 video clips in my timeline to change audio roles. There's got to be an easier way. Also, why does the audio for compound clips appear in a more generic Dialogue lane instead of Dialogue-1? I'm so confused.
