How to retrieve missing email folders on MacBook Air M2?

Some of my email folders on my MacBook Air M2 are empty. When I go to the Time Machine, it says there are no backups. My emails only seem to go back for about one month and anything beyond that is gone! Please help.

First see if this problem also occurs in your web mail application. If it also occurs there there is something with your email provider going on

I tried logging in through iCloud email and still many of my message folders are empty.
