Sunrise/Sunset complication no longer works

I have the sunrise/sunset complication on one corner of my Apple Watch series 8 paired with my iPhone 14 IOS 17.5.1. Until very recently it showed a sun symbol with an up or down arrow designating sunrise or sunset and the time of the next above it. Now it’s just the sun symbol with no arrow and —:— where the time was. If I click on the complication I get a screen with the local tome and sunrise and sunset times in the lower right corner. How do I get the old display back?
