FCPX - Can't close the draw mask tool

Using FCPX 10.8 on Mac running OS14.5, when I draw a mask, I can't seem to close the mask by clicking back to the first control point. Has there been an update that requires a key press or something?

It’s supposed to work the same way it always has. Are you using a trackpad? Try disabling three finger drag. Maybe this is another manifestation of a bug for people who use three finger drag and, like the problem with transform and crop, happens in the viewer.

I just tested, and although very minor for me, I just wait 30 seconds and it's back to working again, this is similar to the text edit but that Luis mentions. I have that bug, but it doesn't seem to be as extreme for me as it is for some. Do what Luis says, plus fill out the FCP feedback form, please. That is the only way to let Apple know about issues.
