iPhone 15 Pro Max photos are too dark

After taking a picture, the post processing algorithms make the photo way darker, flattening colors (especially greens).

I have now used the phone for 2 months and captured photos in different light conditions and consistently the phone post processes every single photos making them darker and uglier.

My son has beautiful green eyes that always show up in photos as black or dark grey. My wife phone (5 years old OnePlus) takes much much better photos when it comes to color consistency.

It is quite annoying because the photos look good on the preview screen but then appear horrible in the gallery.

What I have tried:

• use photo bursts - slightly better but much blurrier
• change photographic styles
• many other camera settings

Nothing really solves the problem.

what to do? I am thinking of selling the phone.

I thought it was my phone but my colleague’s one does the same.
