Why is the phone number option missing in iPhone 13 settings?

When I go into settings<phone on my iphone13, there is no phone number option (it’s not ONLY that my phone number isn’t there - there is no option for it be there.

As you can see from the photo below - there SHOULD be a place where my phone number appears.

This affects iMessage and FaceTime as I do not have access to them from my phone number

The "My Number" option is not present because the SIM that you have on your device is not a valid one and/or does not have call/SMS services.

To activate iMessage and FaceTime using your Phone number

First, check to know whether you have an SMS plan enabled for at least One SMS*** with your carrier. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider) the agency that issued the SIM to you
If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles, make sure you can send and receive international SMS. (One international SMS*** Only)
If you can't turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple ...

*** You may not have an SMS plan (Domestic & International) enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS services.
