i brought a macbook off a facebook, it work and all good just a bit out dated and i actually can’t get into some websites for school as it won’t let me cause it just outdated wont i still be able to trade it in as i didn’t buy it from apple?

You can trade it in if you haven't bought it from apple but if it is so old that you cannot enter websites the truth can be that the MacBook is vintage and have zero to none trade in value
What does it say about the Mac's model name and hardware release year in > About This Mac? What version of the operating system is it running now?
Even if the machine is "a bit out dated", it might be possible to upgrade the version of macOS, and/or install a third-party Web browser.
