I cannot reinstall macOS.

I have a MacBook aluminium from 2008 (yeah I know, pretty rare). I wanted to install Windows for a small project. Bootcamp wasn’t working, so I decided just to install it from a DVD and wipe out the macOS, because it wouldnt let me continue with the partition that macOS had. Now I need macOS urgently to run a program, tried pressing CMD + R, not working. As I found out, it doesn’t work like that for macbooks older than 2011. Tried making a bootable usb - doesn’t show up, after that I’ve reset the VRAM, exactly the same. I recreated the flashdrive, changed the partition, used a diffrent software on Windows, - nothing.

So you have the original OS X install DVD that should boot that old Mac, right? Does it boot from it if you shutdown, and power ON while pressing C key (or maybe the Option key?)? Does the DVD drive still work otherwise?
