Your brother knows your Passcode. That is the problem and you need to change your Passcode. If someone knows your Passcode, then they can add their own Face to be used for Face ID. You will also want to remove all Face ID data and set it up again with your Face. If your Face is not recognized either to unlock your device or use a banking app, all they need to do is provide the Passcode.

You can demand whatever you want. it won’t get you anywhere. To start with, you are not talking to Apple, so just chill.

Close blood relatives may share enough facial features to activate many biometric facial recognition systems. You may not see the resemblance, but it is there.

If this is a serious problem for you, then disable faceid to unlock the phone and/or make sure to keep your phone out of the hands of your apparently untrustworthy brother.

Also remove all Face ID data and set it up again.

Use Face ID on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

Compare the results by checking if he can still open your iPhone and post back the results.

That is your assumption. Change the passcode and see if he can still unlock it. Or, just do as Mac Jim ID suggests and disable FaceID. And change the passcode.

Apple says FaceID is secure enough to where the chances of someone being able to unlock your phone are 1 in 1,000,000. That being said, it can fluctuate depending on several factors. I’ll give you an example.

My younger sister’s phone had her face and my mom’s face on it. Because of those 2 combined, I was (50% of the time) able to unlock her phone with my face. However, once my mom’s face was removed from the phone, I could no longer unlock it.

You could try rescanning FaceID, but in the end your brother could simply be that 1 in 1,000,000. Provided that he’s a good brother, you shouldn’t need to worry about any security issues. If your brother happens to be an evil twin, then maybe switch to just using a passcode. Or force banking apps to use a pin, instead of FaceID.

Or you could take what I’ve just said with a grain of salt, and carry on with trying to fix the issue.

As far as you know.... What happens if you change the password? Make sure you do it when he is not around.

Again, even if he can unlock it, since that is very possible with family, is he so untrustworthy that you fear he’s going to abuse this access? If so, that’s a whole other issue.

If your main concern is that other people will also be able to unlock it, then rest assured that the chances of someone who isn’t related to you being able to unlock it using their face is 1,000,000. In other words, very slim.
