Has anyone received an email from Microsoft for their hotmail email to update your sign-in technology on your devices before September 16, 2024?

Has anyone received an email from Microsoft for hotmail email to update your sign-in technology on iMac and iphone before September 16, 2024 to maintain email access ? Do you think this is a legit email? If so, what did you do or what should I do to update my Apple devices? Thank you!

Yes it’s a legitimate email. Microsoft announced this change quite some time ago and sends out regular update reminders about it.

If you’re running a recent version of macOS, iOS, or iPadOS, you don’t need to worry about it.
