continuous requests for login Keychain Pw

MacBook Air M1 version has had various odd behaviors. The one constant is a never ending series of requests for me to enter login pass word for keychain. Whether I click cancel or enter pass word the notice disappears and a new request materializes for a new reason.

sometimes “sharingd” wants to use keychain. At other times it is “findmylocateagent” or “transparent network proxy for network services” or “com.apple.iCloudHelper”. They all: “wants to use the login keychain”!

I didn't miss that comment and I thought it was unusual, but the repeated requests for the login keychain are addressed in that Apple Support document. Apple omitted some previously helpful information in its latest version though, which can be found in this earlier version:

If you’re asked frequently to unlock your keychain on Mac - Apple Support

The additional information about a VPN is helpful. In short don't use "Nord VPN". Commercial VPNs serve no beneficial purpose. They likely to accomplish the opposite of what their marketing materials typically suggest.

I don't think there is anything else unusual or remarkable about what you did to populate the new Mac's content, nor anything related to your iPhones. Those are normal things to do. VPNs on the other hand will only cause trouble.

Thanks John, but that article just addresses how to use Keychain under regular operations and settings. I have been using Mac OS Keychain since it first appeared more than a dozen years ago. It is possible that I have inadvertently caused my problem but not from ordinary use. Suspects include something to do with Nord VPN, or propagating my new MacBook Air M1 from cloud back up of my 2019 MacBook Pro, using the same login PW for starting my MacBook as for unlocking my Keychain, something that went crazy from exchanging a weird acting iPhone 13 Pro for a new iPhone Pro. I do not know what caused it but it is more than just a simple change of a setting. Perhaps you missed that the request for my “login” password is constant - as in I put the PW in and click on allow and that notification disappears only to be IMMEDIATELY replaced by another similar request from a slightly different source. The requests for login PW never goes away - no matter whatever else I am doing on the computer.
