Using iPad Pro with Bose Speaker that does not have Bluetooth

I am trying to use my new iPad Pro with my Bose Speaker that does not have Bluetooth. I am using an adaptive cable to connect the speaker to the iPad but can't get any sound out of the speaker. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The illustrated cables are analogue.

An audio cable that includes a USB-C or Lightning connection will incorporate a DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) - that takes a digital-audio bitstream and outputs a standard analogue audio signal.

Appreciate your quick reply although you lost me in the technical. Let's try this. I have a Bose speaker and the only way to connect to it is thru a lightning male connector. I have used it in the past with my iPod touch but now that apple doesn't support the iPod anymore I want to use it with my iPad pro 3rd generation. I purchased a connector that was lightening female to USB-C. On the female lightning it says Music-Call. It doesn't works so Is there a specific one for apple products? I am hoping that I don't need to buy a new speaker.
