Does magic keyboard serve as a protective cover for the 11"iPad pro M4

When closed, the Magic Keyboard for iPad provides protection for the front and rear face of the iPad - but provides no protection whatsoever for the exposed edges of the iPad and Magic Keyboard.

Many users opt to keep their iPad and Magic Keyboard combination in a slip-case when not being used - or find a shell case to add additional protection in extreme environments.

Also note the the Magic Keyboard for iPad does not keep an attached Apple Pencil "captive" when being carried - and as such the Pencil can be easily dislodged and/or lost.

The Magic Keyboard is enough. I just bought the iPad Pro M4 and the Magic Keyboard. No additional cover needed. I really like this combination. It's my first time with this keyboard. It's nice and easier to type (I think).
