Getting In After Unsuccessful Login:

Remove Login Items --Use Safe Mode:

Boot in Safe Mode, and then remove all Login Items, seeing if this no longer occurs. In Safe Mode, Login Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in Safe Mode, remove these item, and then boot up normally, attempting another login attempt.

If the first reply does not work, then try the following...

Troubleshooting "Your computer restarted because of a problem.":

A. Boot in to Safe Mode:

Try booting in to Safe Mode [Hold Down the Shift Key upon boot]. In Safe Mode, only necessary items load (i.e. the caches), and new preferences are set aside.

B. Try a New Administrator User:

What happens when you create a new administrator user? Do you stop getting this error? If so, then it is something configured in you current user. Delete this administrator, when desired.

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: It is important that you provide feedback on this occurrence to Apple.  Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed. These are just user-to-user forums. Apple barely reads this as it is on their own time and will. So, report it. Apple will know nothing of this, if you do not report it to them.

To Provide Feedback:

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all stopped working, and how you have troubleshot this, thus far. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Try to reinstall macOS. This might clear the issue.

Can't you get into Safe Mode?

No. So, perform what is mentioned in the first reply by 6x6.

I have been facing the same issue and seems there is wide community of mac owners who are dealing with the same problem. I visited service center of apple and noticed majorly people there have came up with the same issue.
