"iPhone 15 pro: Screen is becoming unresponsive any ideas whether it is software or faulty device"

-------

Determining an Unresponsive iPhone Screen:

A. Any Corrosion?:

Is there any budging on the iPhone? If so, then the battery is corroding, and it is time to get this serviced.

B. Any Lagging?:

Does the iPhone lag? If so, see about clearing space:

C. Any Screen Protector?:

If there is a screen protector, then that can most certainly cause issues. So, don't use adhesive ones --instead, use Liquid protectors (i.e. Liquid Nano or Liquid Armor).

Troubleshooting an Unresponsive iPhone:

A. Start with a Force Restart:

Try a forced restart:

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work unless the phone has a hardware problem.
