Freeform

Freeform has become my favorite app. Would like to be private therefore iCloud is turned off, however I found out recently Freeform is still copying all of my files to iCloud (3.7 GB) causing me to get warnings that my iCloud is full. Erased 1 GB of Notes that I thought was not being recorded because iCloud’s was off. I was wrong because I found out programs can still be connected to iCloud via Apps using iCloud.

Problem is I don’t want to backup via iCloud, but Freeform warns that changes in Freeform will be lost in iCloud, and I only have an option to delete Freeform or cancel turning off Apps using iCloud Freeform switch.

Any way to use Freeform without iCloud backup. Why would I use someone else’s hard drive. I have many.

Also recently downloaded app Calendaric. Paid for the app, but it requires registration. The app works in what it calls public mode, but full functionality requires registration. The app states data is not collected, but requires app to store data on Google servers… I am totally misunderstanding data is not collected, and who owns the information created by these devices.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
