how do I change an IMAP accout to use Oauth 2.0 on IOS17 or even set up Email using Oauth 2.0

I recently received an Email from Microsoft advising that I would have to switch to Oauth 2.0

I've been unable to locate an Oauth Authentication option.

I've similarly been unable to determine if the add 'Outlook.com' email uses Oauth 2.0.

I assume not, because the text underneath the account type is just shown as 'Mail'.

I've also tried unsuccessfully setting up using the 'Microsoft Exchange' option, as after entering Email address and password,

I'm prompted for 'Server (optional), Domain (Optional) & Username (Required).

Password is already filled in and hidden.

Does anyone have an idea how to setup using Oauth 2.0 before I lose my patience?

Kind regards Duncan

P.S - Why is there no Topic for Email???

Contact Microsoft support or look at their help forum.

I wouldn’t think they would tell me how to configure an iPhone.
This relates to apples operating system and where the developers have or haven’t put the protocol selection etc.

Was this the reply given to you from Microsoft support or the answer in their forums?

And what would Apple know about an email you received from Microsoft about switching to Oauth 2.0 in order to use Microsoft (NOT APPLE) mail account on a 3rd party app?

I was hoping either someone at Apple or an enlightened user might know how to select one of their authentication protocols that I have learned is supposed to be supported on my device.

I have failed to locate anything useful to date.

Simply referring me to Microsoft for the issue of how to select an authentication protocol on an Apple device is unfortunately no use at all.

if you can’t offer any insight in to how I can select this protocol on an Apple device, then there’s little use continuing and I will hopefully find someone that can offer some real support.

So you're saying in your logic, asking Microsoft what authentication protocol in order to use their mail service on any 3rd party app isn't useful at all?

Yea Good luck to you then, you're not here for any help at all then.
