Air Tag Not Working After Battery Change

I have 4 air tags one was showing low battery. I replaced the battery with a Duracell ‘baby secure’ but it was still showing low battery. I tried wiping the battery with an alcohol solution but that didn’t work.

Now I’ve removed the device from ‘find my’ but it won’t reconnect. The battery beeps when I put it in so there’s something there but it won’t reconnect. Any ideas?

The bitterant coating on the Duracell battery is the issue. Try to use a very fine-grain sand paper to remove the coating or get batteries from another manufacturer.
