How to change the Auto-Lock time on my iPad?
“auto lock” is in pale print and doesn’t respond when I click on it. Currently set for two seconds. How do I extend it ?

I doubt that your iPad's Auto-Lock is currently two seconds - but more likely two minutes.
iPad auto-lock will be fixed at two minutes if you have enabled Low Power mode:
Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode - set to OFF
You might also check that Date & Time and TimeZone are also correctly set for your iPad - as these settings are known to cause various functional issues if incorrectly configured:
Settings > General > Date & Time

Other than selecting Never, 15 minutes is the longest period that you can select in settings.
Remember, the Auto-Lock period relates to inactivity. Every interaction with the iPad resets the inactivity period.
Thank you. Is 15 mins the absolute maximum ?
