Can’t access my photo library on Facebook app

I started having this problem recently. When I try to comment on Facebook, and I want to include a picture, I can’t scroll down far enough to see my pictures. I can see just a narrow line where the pictures are, and the words “camera roll” with a downward-pointing arrow. The arrow isn’t functional, and I can’t scroll down. Also, this began happening when I’m just trying to reply to a comment. If the “reply” word is at the bottom of my screen, I can’t click on it to bring up the reply box. I’ve already tried deleting and reinstalling the app. When I reinstalled the app, I gave it access to my photo library. What else can I do?

What model and year Mac or device do you have?

What system are you running?

What are you using to upload photos to Face Book: a browser or app?

Where is you library located? If on an external drive how is the drive formatted and connected to the device?

Also please post a screenshot of what you're seeing.

I’m using the app for iPad. Info about my iPad is shown below. I’ve used this same iPad for many years with success. Now, this problem has started up. I’ve followed with screen shots of what I see. In the middle photo, you can see how “Camera Roll” appears with a downward pointing arrow. In the last image, it shows what happens if I click on “Camera Roll.” It gives me an upward pointing arrow, but still no way to see or choose any photos. I can see a slim line of the top my camera roll at the extreme bottom of the image (almost out of view entirely), but I can’t scroll down any farther than that. I’m using the app exclusively on my iPad. The photos are on my iPad camera roll.

I missed your bio and the fact you were referring to an iPad. My reply was geared to a Mac. They'll be others along shorty who will have experience with FB and iPad who can be of more help. Good luck.
