Unable to use certain tools in Photoshop because my "system is running Rosetta."
I've never downloaded this app and it is not in the list of applications.
Tried a system search but it was not found.
My OS is Sonoma 14.5.

Rosetta is not an app, it's a framework in the guts of macOS that allows software that requires an Intel CPU to run on an Apple Silicon Mac. Rosetta is auto-installed when needed. So if you are running an older version of Photoshop that requires Intel Rosetta is making that possible and you very well may not have certain tools.
Your only resolution would be to upgrade your Photoshop to the latest version that fully supports Apple Silicon.

Then select the Photoshop app, right click, and select Get Info. Check the Kind info to see if it's "Universal". Also make sure the "Open Using Rosetta" option is NOT checked.
If that option is not checked and the problem persists you will need to contact Adobe support.
Oh, and by the way, what vintage is your MacBook Pro? Is it an Apple Silicon or Intel model?
Yes, you need to quit the app and launch again.
I'm running the latest version - 25.9.1
I unchecked "open using Rosetta." Does Photoshop need to be restarted to make the change permanent?
