I want to use a Pluggable TBT4-UD5 thunderbolt 4 dock with a new 2024 M4 iPad Pro.

so because the TB4 dock is backward compatible, my thought is that I could use it with the new TB3 iPad m4, while also having a bit of “headroom” for any future thunderbolt 4 devices or computers.
