Imac M3 Can't find the serial number on the website. Although I bought it at the Apple Store

I bought an Apple Imac m3 from the official Apple Store. I paid for everything. I use it and am happy, but just now I noticed that when checking the serial number it gives an error (it won’t find it). How to fix this and is this possible?

The serial # is right there in the System Report.



What do you see when you enter the serial # in > Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support


If that does not work, then perhaps the Apple Store has not yet reported the sale of that iMac.

In that is the case, then you will need to contact Apple Support at > https://getsupport.apple.com/

You can find the serial number multiple ways including:


  • Look on the box the computer shipped in.
  • Look on the bottom of the computer's stand and the SN is printed there.
  • Click the Apple symbol in the upper left of the display and select About this Mac, the SN is listed there too.
  • Open the System Information app and on the main page under Hardware Overview the SN is listed there too.

You cannot write AppleCare via e-mail or snail mail, you have to call them on the phone. If making a phone call is not something you can do, please get a friend, relative or assistant that can do this for you while you are there so you can communicate your wishes to your assistant.


If for some other reason you do not have a phone then please visit your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to get assistance.
