Can I paste recordings directly into a Playlist folder on Apple Music?

I have a huge collection of recordings of all Mahler's symphonies, with multiple recordings of symphonies by different orchestras and conductors. I'd like to create a new playlist of recordings by a single orchestra and conductor. I see how to create new playlists and new playlist folders and to copy recordings in one folder, but I don't see how to get the copied recording into the new playlist folder.

So, I've created a playlist folder. When I attempt to paste a recording I've copied into a playlist folder the recording is not copied into the playlist folder. I can see that something happens in the top level list of playlists but I don't find the pasted recording there.

Where should I look for the copied and pasted recording? Can I paste into a playlist folder? Or do I need to create a new playlist inside the folder and paste the copied recordings into it?
