Apple CarPlay GPS wrong location issue

Infiniti QX80 - any iPhone that connects to my car connects but shows incorrect location. I saw previous posts but it said no reply recently. My phone works in other cars, same for families other phones. How do I turn off the function that uses vehicle gps.

My iPad A1566 unable to recognize external GPS Hello I used to connect my Ipad A1566 with an external gps receiver via bluetooth iphone via wifi to get my position reference on the ipad. Since the last update it does not work any more : unstabilized position and message “waiting for location data. this model of Ipad has no internal GPS receiver” which is true but not new. As if the position signal from an external souce was now not recognized. I see the connexion with iphone in the right upon corner though. what is it about here? Iphone Air GPS location dropping out When using apps like Waze or Google Maps while driving my Iphone Air keeps losing the GPS location. I don’t want this to happen when i’m driving to a new location as i’ll be basically stranded. Anybody else having these issues? Never had any issue on my iphone 14 preciously.

You can’t disable that. Contact your Infinity dealer regarding updating the head unit in the car.

The only way to avoid using the cars GPS receiver is to NOT connect CarPlay.
