Person icon upper left corner next to time…what is the reason?

It is most likely an icon for Focus/Do Not Disturb.

Go to the Control Center and find the Focus button (oblate and has a small round picture icon on it). If it says anything other than "Focus", you have it turned on . Tap the picture to turn it off. Don't press and hold. Don't tap the words.

That’s the default icon for the “personal” focus.
