When I open the clock app and set an alarm there’s only the “store” option to purchase ringtones, there’s no other option besides that one and the default sounds

You should be able to choose an alarm sound from Apple Music as I have the option as well, and I have IOS 17.5.1
Try deleting the Clock app and redownloading it. If it still doesn't work, attempt a reset and shut down the phone.
If that still doesn't work, there may be a problem with Apple Music rather than the Clock app.

Making Music a Notification:

It happened 5-7 days ago. I set two alarms because I needed to get up at 1:30 AM for a flight. I had specific LOUD songs set and ever since then (including that morning!) it is only playing the default song which is apparently Ariel. This is really lame as I am practically freaking deaf. I wish at least the default alarm was a LOUD one, lol. I’ve been looking for videos to fix it. My phone is an SE. I will just call tomorrow.
My mistake, I’m trying to use a song from my library as alarm sound.. and the “pick a song” option isn’t there
I already shut down the phone an deleted the clock app… still doesn’t work, but theoretically I can use a voice memo as alarm sound and that doesn’t work either so… is not an Apple Music problem
