Text jumbled when pasted from Apple Pages and emailed

Are you using the outlook/hotmail email system? If so, that could be the problem. In any case , does the email look ok if you use webmail instead of the Mail app?

It’s a mix of valid UTF-8 text, and of what is probably document formatting-related data.

That hunks of the headers are included in what is shown looks like a corruption in the MIME message processing, too.

But that data is (mostly) garbage.

Looks like a bug. Whether it is in Pages and what it’s putting in the paste buffer, or Mail and what it is accepting from the paste buffer?

Please post a screenshot of the jumbled text.

Are you using Apple's email service and Mail app, or something else like gmail or ms exchange?

what email provider are you using?

do you still see this if you use web Mail instead of Mail app?

I haven't tested this, but I wonder if the OP copied and pasted a text box, not body text, and that text box was treated as an image object in the email, thus the base64 encoding?
