How to fix consistent audio drops on Xfinity Stream through Apple TV?

Watching "Live TV" on Xfinity Stream through Apple TV, there are consistent audio drops of 3-5 seconds. These blips are frequent and on all of our four Apple TVs.

Update your Apple TV system software to the current version, if not done already. How to update your Apple TV - Apple Support


Try this for any misbehaving app:

  1. Force-quit the app, then relaunch and try again.
  2. If the issue persists, force-quit the app, restart the device, then relaunch and try again.
  3. If the issue still persists, delete the app, re-download and try again.
  4. If the issue still persists after that, then contact the app developer for further assistance.

Appreciate your suggestions, as Xfinity help is non-existent (and the Xfi Community is beyond frustrated) ! I do have auto-update on all my ATVs, and I have just deleted, reinstalled & opened the Xfinity Stream app on 2 of our 4 ATVs. Now we will have to monitor the audio situation to see if the fix works ....
