Can I claim warranty and exchange iPhone in another country?

If i get a japan version wrongly from a store and they refused to return it, is there a difference between japan version and international version also is it will be any warranty issues? And if i wanted to upgrade my phone when iphone 16 is released will be any issues in exchanging because it is japan version and i am living in UAE
