Is there a way to fix abrupt stops during song downloads on Apple Music?

I just happened to subscribe to Apple Music student plan and I’m finding it difficult to download a song to listen offline on my IPhone 12 Pro Max. For instance when I try downloading the song, it’ll try to wind a little bit and stop abruptly which is not making me enjoy my subscription.

can't turn off automatic downloads in Apple Music on iPhone 14 Every time I'm connected to Wi-Fi, new songs I added to my playlist are being downloaded even though the automatic download is turned off. I've already restarted my phone several times, but it hasn't helped. What can I do about this?
