a couple of quick responses — I can use the Air 2 both when it’s plugged in and when it isn’t. The battery does NOT go down quickly when disconnected, nor does it just shut down. Rather, it shuts down and restarts.

It is using the original battery.

I have never had a problem with it actually booting up. It always boots up properly, even when it restarts itself.

Now I am having problems replying on both devices. I write a response, and the site refuses to post it, saying my login has expired. I login again and try to post. It still won’t let me post. It still says my login has expired. I try again with the same result.

I figured it out—I have to close out of the tab, and then open a new tab and navigate to the site again for it to allow me to post. That will be difficult on my IPad Air 2, but I am going to try.

I used this iPad with a PillowPad often. Could all of my problems with that iPad be as a result of using it on the pillowpad?

The reason I am asking is because the Air 2 tends to get really hot to the touch, and had been doing that since I had the slow charging issue. The restarts did not start until recently, though. I think it could all be related. I had stopped using this iPad much when I got an Air 4.

At first I used the pillowpad with the Air 4 as well. However, I noticed that iPad getting really hot, too. I also noticed an electrical burning smell coming from the Air 4. I immediately shut it down and let it cool off. I then stopped using the pillow pad. I haven’t had a heating problem or burnt/hot smell from the Air 4 since I stopped using the pillowpad.

It seems to me then that the pillowpad is bad for iPads—at least for Air 4. I won’t ever use a pillow pad with any iPad in the future. Do you think that using the pillowpad with the Air 2 might have been a large contributing factor to the problems with the Air 2?

I still would like to know how to interpret the panic report if anyone can help….as well as what the issue is. Thanks.
