Printer won’t stay connected to my Apple devices.

We recently purchased a Canon TS 7720 printer. Finally got it connected to our 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and MacBook Pro. The MacBook is fine and I can print but not so with the other devices. One day it will print and the next day the devices won’t print. I have to go and reconnect each device again. We just returned an HP printer because of the same problem. I can’t believe we purchased 2 bad printers. My husband was on the phone with HP for 2 hours. They said to contact Apple. Now we have the same problem with the Canon. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Could it possibly be a problem with the router and its ability to recognise and hold devices connected via Wi-Fi? Any information about the router model?

The Canon TS7720 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a supported AirPrint printer.

Make sure that the printer, the MacBook Pro, and the iPhones and iPads are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

You may want to try a full power cycle sequence (including the router): Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the MacBook Pro, the iPhones and iPads, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac, the iPhones and iPads, and all other devices/computers.
