Why is my iPad Air not following 80% charging limit?

I'm having issues right now because my ipad air m2 is set to 80% limit but it charged reached 89%, like what’s happening?

Even with the 80% charging limit enabled, your iPad will still occasionally recharge fully to 100%. This strategy is intended to (a) keep the battery in good health, and (b) is required to periodically calibrate the battery charge measurement.


If you have any concerns, you might be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.


Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:
