Stage Lights on IMAC M1

The issue usually appears after a day or so. Effect is like having stage lights at bottom of screen. The screen dims when it happens. Running diagnostics does not identify any issue but usually clears the issue for a while. I left with the main Apple dealer on two occasions where they were unable reproduce it. However I reproduced within a day of coming home in the first case and immediately in second case. The problem does not show on a capturing a screen shot. I have forwarded a movie showing the impact to the dealer but I am still waiting for a response. I am wondering if others have experienced this issue on the IMAC m1 , got it to resolution and what was involved.

iMac 24″, macOS 14.5

Hi,

It seems it's a backlight issue. I think you should tell engineers that reproduce it at dark places in the AppleStores or Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Hi thanks for feedback, really appreciated. Yes it is certainly more obvious in a darkened room. The dealer is, I believe, happy to use the video I have provided when determining the fault with Apple, which as you mention is backlight issue. I am hoping that someone who has already had this issue on IMAC M1 and got it resolved might be able to let me know what was involved.
