Trying to fix my granddaughter’s IPad that she completely locked herself out of (10yrs old) and now she thinks the world has ended. She’s tried to enter several times of what she thinks her passcode/password is.
IPadOS Version 17.5.1
6th generation. What can I do to help get this back together? I do not own a computer, but I have a IPad also 6th generation.

If that is not an option, you will need to use a computer (not another iPad). See the following from step 1 of If you forgot your iPad passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support
This process requires a Mac or PC. If you're using a PC, make sure that it has Windows 10 or later and that the Apple Devices app or iTunes is installed. You also need the cable that came with your iPad, or another compatible cable, to connect your iPad to the computer.
If you don't have a computer and you can't borrow one, you need to go to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
Then follow the instructions in the remaining steps of If you forgot your iPad passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support
