Just bought a new Apple Watch series 9 to replace my old series 4 and the battery life on the series 9 has been abysmal. Goes from 100% to 80% in two hours of just sitting around the house. It’s so much worse than my series 4. I’m on the latest software and I’ve tried the whole hard reset, unpairing and repairing, without improvement. Anyone else been experiencing similar battery life issues on the series 9?
Still new and probably still syncing with iPhone and iCloud. It can take up to 72 hours, but unpairing and re-pairing starts the process all over again. You need to just let it do its task for about 3 days after the last time you paired the two devices.
Is the Watch on a charger at night, near your iPhone and connected to WiFi and Bluetooth?
If the charge is too low, it won’t sync at night, which is typically when it syncs to iCloud. I’d just let it do it’s thing and see if it settles down and daily battery life gets to normal.

Hmm interesting, I didn’t realize there’s a breaking-in period. I wore it to sleep one night but the other nights it was charging next to my iPhone and connected to both wifi and Bluetooth.
