Compatibility of 100W USB-C Cable with 30W Adapter for 2020 MacBook Air

I have a 2020 MacBook Air Retina 13-inch, and I would like to know if it is okay to use a 100-watt USB-C cable with my 30-watt adapter? Or do I need to use a 240-watt USB-C cable instead?

2014 power adapter extension cable compatible with 70W USB-C Power Adapter Hi there. I just got the new 2023 macbook Air 13 inch M2 chip. It came with the 70W USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable. Unfortunately no extension cable was provided. My old MacBook Air (2014) came with a 45W MagSafe Power Adapter with MagSafe 2 style connector and power adapter extension cable. Can I use the old power adapter extension cable with my new 70W usb-c power adapter/usbc to MagSafe 3 cable? The Apple website does not specify whether this is okay to do. Thanks so much.
