Does the M4 10 CPU 10 GPU 13.6 inch Macbook Air require a minimum 35 watt power adapter?

Does the M4 10 CPU 10 GPU 13.6 inch Macbook Air require a minimum 35 watt power adapter? Or can I use an older 30W power adapter with 3-wire extension power cord and USB-C socket from my present Macbook Retina 12 inch 2017? Only the 35W compact power adapter was included in my new M4 Macbook Air box.

You can.

Be advised a USB-C cable may limit the charging rate, if it is not adequately rated.
