iPhone 5s was released in 2013, which is 11 years ago. The phone is completely obsolete and as you've already been told, iOS 12.5.7 is the highest that phone can ever support. It's honestly amazing you're still using a phone from 11 years ago, so quite a testament to the inherent quality in iPhone. But you can't possibly think Apple will forever support devices from 11 years ago? Time to retire you very old iPhone and buy a newer, more modern iPhone if you need higher level iOS versions.

The near-inevitable outcome of providing newer iOS versions for what is fundamentally insufficient hardware will be complaints about the resulting configurations and inadequate performance.

The developers of the social media platforms do not believe that an iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 is worth their investing in, either. That’s usually because usage of these older devices is low and dropping.

Scrounge an iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone SE 2nd, or newer, if you want access to the current iOS 17 and the upcoming iOS 18. These are all substantially capable than is iPhone 5s and iPhone 6.
