How to restore accidentally deleted timer app on Apple Watch

How do I reinstall it? When I search for it on the watch it doesn’t show up. There’s no way on my version to search the actual Apple Store on the watch watch app.

You cannot do this using your iPhone. You’ll have to use your ‘Apple Watch.

On your watch, click the crown to open the list of all the apps, scroll down to find the app named App Store and tap it. Tap the search icon. Tap the microphone and dictate “Timers”, tap Search. The first result should the Timers app from Apple. Tap Get to download it.

You can't access the App Store on your watch? I don't know which version of watchOS you have, but I believe that you can dictate "Timers" in the App Store on the watch to find the Timers app.

If you can't, unpair and erase the watch, then pair it again. That may reinstall the Timers app on the watch.

Thank you for this info

We accidentally deleted the workout app when setting up the watch and have never succeeded in adding it back. The Apple store people also failed to reload it for us.

The key seemed to be using the microphone to request the app, in our case "workout" received as "work out". Prior attempts to select "workout" from the list shown in app display appeared to find a 3rd party variation, which never loaded anyway

Hi 1BirchView,

In the App Store on the watch, search for “Apple”. Tap the one of the results that points to a well-known Apple app. For instance, when I do the search, the first result is “Apple Music”. Tap the result (do not tap Open) to view the details of that app. Scroll down where you see the Developer section. Tap Apple and you’ll be presented with all the Apple apps. Scroll down to see Workout and install it.

Not that I’ve been able to figure out. I do everything on my phone app. If you know how to access the store and search for a specific app on the actual watch, i’d much prefer that to losing all the configurations I’ve done to the watch already over this. I have version 10.5 according to my phone watch app if that helps. Thanks
