Can I disabled the pop up when pressing command on my iPad keyboard?

Using an external keyboard on an iPad Pro, if you hold the CMD button for more than a fraction of a second a pop-up window appears with a list of shortcuts. If you are new to using an external keyboard this might be useful but once you know your way around, it is just annoying.

There does not seem to be any way to disable this “feature”

Someone on a similar thread suggested slow keys but that applies to all keys not just the CMD key.

To my knowledge, the pop-up that shows the table of available Command-key shortcuts (seen when you press-and-hold just the Command-key) cannot be suppressed in iPad settings. That said, when using any modifier key in conjunction with the Command-key, the table will be cleared from view.

Apple does invite submission of feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. If you would like Apple to make this a configurable option in a future version of iPadOS, this would be the most appropriate channel through which to make a request:

Many thanks for your reply. I couldn’t see any way to suppress the pop-up and so I have submitted a feedback report.

For information… pressing CMD plus another modifier key (eg Option, Control or Shift) does nto make the pop-up clear. The only way I can find to clear it is to press CMD again or tap on the screen. This is most annoying when you are using a combination of keys such as CMD+Option+Shift+n to switch profiles in Safari, by the time you have pressed all those keys the pop-up is there and you have to start again. Same with screen shots - I have plenty of those with the pop-up included!
