Why is my MacBook Air asking for password after reset?

I did a factory reset on my MacBook Air to pass it down to my little sister I followed what YouTube had told me but now my Mac is saying after the whole reset thing “techs support” and enter password I tried maybe putting my old password but nothing what do I do? I am not trying to sell it or anything I just did a factory reset so I can give it to my sister so she can do her school work someone help please

Unfortunately, the instructions in that video are woefully incomplete.

You apparently did not actually factory reset your machine.

There is a user ID on the machine named “techsupport”.

Did you buy this Mac used?

Contact whoever you got it from. It was never properly prepared for sale. On top of that, the instructions you followed from the video were horribly incomplete. You did not reset it as you thought you did.

If the original owner was signed into iCloud, it's entirely possible that it is now activation locked and completely useless.

We have absolutely no idea what YouTube instructions you followed.

It’s also not clear what you’re seeing now.

Please explain. Post a screen shot or photo of the screen if possible.

I did buy it used before it never said anything like tech support until now it Always had my name after I followed the video that’s what happened it said tech support
