Why does WindowServer use so much energy and how can I reduce that?

My MacBook Air with macOS 12.6 is running slow. Mac is slow. I don't know if it's just old or it has issues. Both coreaudiod and WindowServer are using more than 20% of the CPU. Etrecheck Report apps with heavy cpu usage Hi, I only use my mac for work and very basic browsing and streaming. I run etrecheck and it told me my mac has heavy cpu usage from apps i dont even know what they are. Please let me know how to solve this. Thank You.

Hi,

Try to start up in Safe mode, then normal boot could solve your issue.

Start up your Mac in safe mode – Apple Support (AU)
