Wrong Template opening

I have a strange issue whereby when I opt to create a new document from a particular template, it creates a new document from a different template. This doesn't happen for all templates.

Any ideas, please?

Oh and I'm not using parallels as the details given suggest. I'm on 14.5 on an M1 Mac

When I created a new document on my phone from the same template, the correct template was regenerated as a new document. Consequently, I saved this to my Pages Cloud folder, opened it on my Mac, saved it as a new template, and deleted the old one.

This has resolved the issue, and it may have been what I did last time to resolve it, too.

Hi Winston,

Is that template in Pages > Template Chooser?

Is it an inbuilt template that came with Pages, or is it a template that you created and saved in My Templates?

Is it a Pages template from a web site?

Is it a Word template from a web site?

All of the above should work. Which template?

More information may lead to a solution.

Regards,

Ian.

Yes, it’s a pages template I created myself and added to the template chooser. I have had this before but don’t recall how I resolved it.

It’s as though the link from the new document window is referencing the wrong template.

As I’m writing I’m wondering what will happen if I create a new document on my phone. I’ll try it and report back.
