Cellular Network stuck on 3G and sometimes drops

Have you restarted the iPhone ie power off/on...

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings <—————————RESET

If you see SOS, No Service, or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If your connection is weak it may fall back to 3G. That would be a blessing, some areas no longer support 3G or 1X
