I’m sorry to hear about your iPhone 14 Pro. Here are some steps you can take if your iPhone has been damaged by water:
1. Turn Off the Device Immediately: If it’s still on, turn it off to prevent further damage.
2. Dry the Exterior: Wipe off any visible water with a dry cloth.
3. Remove SIM Card: Take out the SIM card to prevent any damage to it.
4. Air Dry: Place the iPhone in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid using heat or direct sunlight.
5. Avoid Charging: Do not charge your iPhone until you are sure it’s completely dry.
6. Use Desiccants: Place the iPhone in a container with silica gel packets or other desiccants. Avoid using rice, as it can leave residue inside the phone.
7. Wait: Leave the phone to dry for at least 24-48 hours.
8. Check for Functionality: After waiting, try turning on the device.
If these steps do not help, you may need professional assistance:
• Visit an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: They can assess the damage and offer repair options.
• AppleCare+: If you have AppleCare+, it covers two incidents of accidental damage, including water damage, with a service fee.
• Third-Party Repair Services: Consider reputable third-party repair services, but be cautious as this may void any existing warranty.
Replacement Options:
• Trade-In: If the phone is beyond repair, check Apple’s trade-in program. You might get some value towards a new device.
• Refurbished Models: Consider buying a refurbished iPhone from Apple or other trusted retailers. These are usually less expensive and come with a warranty.
It’s unfortunate, but sometimes water damage can be irreversible, especially if the phone was submerged and the internal components were affected.
Liquid damage is not repairable. You can get a discounted out of warranty replacement from Apple or buy a new phone outright.
You can pay for an out of warranty replacement.
US$649 + tax for an iPhone 14 Pro without AppleCare+.
US$99 + tax if you have AppleCare+.
thats what making me not buying a new iphone i guess they lost 1 client
YOU dropped your phone in water. Water and electronics (of any kind) do not mix. Why do you think Apple owes you something outside of any type of coverage?
If you ran your car into a tree, would you expect Ford, Chevy, or whomever to just give you a new one?
If my phone was damaged and repairs were not possible, I would not expect the phone to have any value.
Why do you think that your phone would be any different?
But, you should always buy what you want.
hey thank you for your help the warranty is expired do u think any apple store can do me a trade or something

Unfortunately, a damaged phone is going to worth zero as far as trade in value.
