Acer 4K@60Hz USB C Hub, 7 in 1 USB C to HDMI Splitter

I am connecting a Mac Book Air to an external monitor using Acer 4K@60Hz USB C Hub, 7 in 1 USB C to HDMI Splitter. It connects but shows a different background screan and no icons. I tried the splitter using a Windows PC and no issues.

Question MacBook Pro M2 with Anker USB-C hub dual monitors Hi all, So due to change of work position I've also changed the laptop from Lenovo t15 to MacBook Pro M2 which I'm trying to run with an Anker USB-C hub for dual monitors, USB devices and LAN cable. Everything works as expected except the second monitor which is only available as a duplicate screen of first external monitor (I suppose thats the default behaviour without any change of settings). When I check my display settings the second monitor is not on the display list... If I unplug it from the hub and plug it in via HDMI directly into the MacBook it shows in the settings and works as extended display. On the old Lenovo everything worked out of the box as it is supposed to with this Anker hub. Any ideas? Monitors are: ASUS VG248QE AOC 24G2

I don’t know why you call a hub a “splitter.” What you describe sounds like normal operation if you have your screens running in extended desktop mode, and haven’t dragged anything onto the second one yet.
